Dr. Erick had a busy summer hosting two medical teams with HOPE Bible Mission. They were working up in the Quiche' where they have hopes of building a medical clinic in the future.

 

Also this summer, Mike and Erick met with a Christian businessman from Colorado. John got to see firsthand what Mike and Erick are doing with ACHC, and has gotten behind them personally. John also did some fundraising after he left, taking in $15,000 for Erick to purchase a vehicle that could handle the roads in El Cortijo and Balcones de Palin where he and Mike have been working!

 

This past week John, Erick, Mike and Monica went to El Cortijo to meet with the neighborhood community regarding the building of a clinic. It was a very positive experience for everyone involved. Dr. Erick is looking forward to the future clinic site and hopes to grow relations with this community over time. Dr. Erick was able to realize the commitment of the community when he went to visit and found a group of kids from the neighborhood school digging trenches for the future medical clinic.
