It has been an exciting ride this past month and we have some wonderful news to share with you!

Abuse Shelter Presses On

This morning we signed a one year lease for the Women's Abuse Shelter! It is located in San Cristobal behind the Paiz Plaza. We have spent many months preparing for this day and we are very excited to share this news with you today! The shelter will have rooms for up to six women with their children.We continue to build relationships with different churches and look forward to partnering with them in the future.

New Executive Director for PWM

Pamela Leon was hired as the Executive Director for PWM (Partnership in Women's Ministry) three weeks ago. Pamela is a Guatemalan Attorney with a deep passion for the plight of women in Guatemala. We are so thankful for this special woman and look forward to her help in making the shelter a place of safety and healing, as well as assisting in the other projects of PWM.

We Really Do Need You!

With that being said, we are asking for your help. We have the funding for the shelter for the next six months, but we will need to raise additional funds to keep the center open indefinitely. We would also covet prayer for the success of this shelter in reaching those most in need.

Who will care?

I'm not sure if I ever mentioned this before, but at this time there is no other ministry operating a women's shelter in Guatemala.
