Greetings from sunny Guatemala. This past month was filled with wonderful God moments.

It began with a visit to our friendly neighborhood missionary dentist, Dr. Mike Kadera. Sandra and Mariela had the opportunity to get teeth checked out. Unfortunately they will be seeing much more of him; each was diagnosed with 4 cavities that need filling and 2 teeth extractions.

We also had the cousin of one of the teachers at CAG, Stephanie, come and volunteer a day at El Refugio. We worked together to get Deysi’s bedroom painted, giving her room a badly needed updating.

With the help of Rosita and her creative juices, we were able to set up and open a mini jewelry store within El Refugio’s doors. Our hope is to have some work teams that come to work with other missionaries stop in for a tour and an opportunity to purchase the unique coffee jewelry made by our ladies. It has been a wonderful blessing so far, giving the ladies the chance to run the store and to see what the shoppers like. We are hoping to get the word out so that more teams will stop by in the future. .

This past week, Olga was given her first ever baby shower! She seemed to handle it very well and loved all the presents she received. Her 3-year-old daughter Cesia even received a present, which filled her with joy.

Through it all, we are thankful for partners like you. We appreciate all your financial and prayer support. We are happy to report that the needed monthly support commitment that came in this past month will allow us (at least for now) to stay here through June 2011.

Blessings,

Chris
