Chris and I took a road trip up to Salquil Grande at
the
beginning of May. We met Sharon in Nebaj, had lunch
together and headed up to Salquil. We had a chance to
visit the ministry site where the hostel is located.
We met with Lap and gave him the "go ahead" to put the
septic system in. We hope to have the place in a
rustic, but liveable, state by the time our next team
arrives in November.
We also met with the Light and Life school board that
evening. I gave them an update on the forming of the
school association and they were able to review and
accept the Constitution for the school. We also worked
on a Vision Statement and a Mission Statement. I
already have the Ixil values that they want to
maintain, so things are coming along well in this
venue of our ministry. You can check out the website
